I'm sitting in my sons room (G-3yrs old) watching he and his baby brother playing together. As I fight the urge to make them pick up each basket of toys they dumped out with wild abandon, I'm hit with amazement at their love for each other. G has both the itch to antagonize and the desire to love/take care of his baby brother. I see the look in both their eyes as they realize that they are both going after the same toy. Baby J looks at G with this serious, its going down, matter of fact attitude and G looks at Baby J with a look that lets on that he will enjoy this little battle of wits and speed that is sure to ensue. It's absolutely mesmerizing to watch each of their little personalities develop and blossom. Because I know that its so innocent and a right of passage for them to figure these things out I can usually sit back and, if I need to, guide them to a diplomatic resolution (he had it first, let him have a turn, lets share).
